Perhaps using solid aluminum rods? I don't know how fancy you want to get with it or if you have the ability to weld AL, but you could either make some concentric rings of solid rod and connect them from the center using solid rod: IMO, you should find a solid thermal conductor to place around in a ring form near where the feet would be.
